Deforum VIII—Kashyyyk Infinite Zoom

There is a subset of deforum animation called an "infinite zoom". An infinite zoom only performs one transformation to derive each successive image: zoom. There are no shifts or rotations. And the zoom can never 'reach' the subject, so it will continue to zoom in as long as there are frames left to create.

Inspired by my recent foray into Star Wars planets, I decided to generate a series of images, using several different Stable Diffusion models, with a one-word prompt: Kashyyyk (the name of the home world of the Wookiees).

Here are the results (with the caption indicating which model was used):

RevAnimated

RevAnimated (with some LoRAs for adding contrast and more details)

3D Animation

Anything

Counterfeit

DreamShaper

Dungeons 'n' Waifus

Epic 2.5D

GhostMix

GhostMix (Upscaled)

Lyriel

OpenJourney

Tenki Hybrid

ToonYou

Stable Diffusion v1.5

Zavy Comics

Zavy Comics (upscaled)

From these, I narrowed it down to a set of 4, in the following order, to make Deforum animations with:

NOTE: For the best viewing experience, click on the gear icon at the bottom right of each video and set the quality to 4K.

Here is the infinite zoom I made from the first image, using the GhostMix model:

And here is the infinite zoom I made from the second image, using the RevAnimated model:

And here is the infinite zoom I made from the third image, using the RevAnimated model:

Here is another infinite zoom I made from the third image, again using the RevAnimated model:

And here is the infinite zoom I made from the fourth image, using the DreamShaper model:

I imagined that the video would be a zoom through a long forest, with the occasional Wookiee, but as you can see, the videos quickly got away from that.

These illustrations and animations were created using Stable Diffusion 1.5 and Deforum as implemented in SD.Next with the models indicated in the captions.
